I'd like to direct your attention to blizzard's support D3 console section: Solution to something that in all likelihood shouldn't happen in the first place. We cant physically copy the files (I understand the reasons why) & furthermore the powers that be are taking turns pointing the finger one another, basically saying they aren't responsible if it happens, as opposed to working together to come up with a That being said, as it stands, either D3 console users can take precautions in the hopes that if it does happen it can be remedied, or suffer a game breaking glitch that could strike without warning, & then have no recourse what so ever after the fact ? #Diablo 3 ps3 save files Patch
I would urge MS to take a look at this, & determine whether or not a patch is necessary, if it indeed one could resolve the issue in question.Įspecially since there isn't a way to copy the save files in question, without physically moving them off the hard drive, I don't want to either, & as a result have taken the time to notify both blizzard & MS in chat, & now am doing so on the xbox support forums. I personally have not suffered this issue. not sure if it pertains exclusively to MP or local (aka "couch") coop, or if it can also happen in SP. Rumor has it has something to do with the coop feature of D3. In a game in which such replay-ability is prevalent, getting a corrupt auto save could be devastating!!! Idk if its exclusive to the 360 version (including the PS4) but ive read threads from other users reporting data corruption involving their save files for the console version of Diablo 3.
